Quaker Oats issued a recall on Friday for several of its granola products, comprising granola bars and cereals, citing potential contamination with salmonella.
Salmonella infections, known to cause symptoms such as fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, are a significant health concern as highlighted by the Food and Drug Administration.

Despite not receiving any reports of salmonella infections linked to the affected granola items, Quaker, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, initiated the recall as a precautionary measure.
The recalled products encompass granola oats cereals and Quaker Chewy Bars, also available in PepsiCo’s snack mixes, distributed across all 50 U.S. states and territories.
