Atlanta Mother Jessica Rogue Recovers from Horrific Spider Attack, Faces Eye Damage Concerns

Jessica Rogue, a 44-year-old Atlanta mother of three, faced a horrifying ordeal when she was attacked by a group of highly venomous spiders in her backyard.

It happened while she was cleaning out a shed at her home on July 1st. Rogue, recounting the incident to AtlantaNewsFirst, described feeling the spiders crawling on her body as she attempted to clear away a tangled web.

Less than a day after being bitten, Rogue was rushed to the hospital with severe swelling across her face, arms, and throat. Her condition was critical, and she spent several days in hospital care.

The venomous bites left her with visible scars, persistent rashes, and a concerning patch over one eye.

“My eye is what I’m really worried about,” Rogue shared with the local news outlet.

“I’m having a lot of pain. I just don’t know what’s going to happen with my eye.”

Community Support and Future Steps

In response to her medical crisis, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to assist with Rogue’s substantial medical expenses. As of now, it has raised $2,360.

Organizer Morgan Underwood emphasized the immediate needs and ongoing treatments Rogue will require, including pest control to manage the spider infestation at her home.

Describing Rogue’s current condition, Underwood noted, “The swelling on her face has significantly reduced, but she now faces an itchy, painful rash.

The areas where she was bitten are blistered, requiring careful monitoring. Her right eye remains a concern, possibly necessitating specialized medical attention soon.”
