Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has revealed the club’s keen interest in signing Oswin Appollis, the standout player from Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana.

In a recent chat with Robert Marawa on Radio 947, Motaung Jr acknowledged that while Kaizer Chiefs usually avoid commenting on players from rival teams, Appollis stands out as an exceptional talent.
Motaung Jr expressed that it’s hard to imagine any local club not wanting to add Appollis to their roster.
Talks and Hopes for the Future
Motaung Jr confirmed that discussions have already taken place with Polokwane City’s chairman, Johnny Mogaladi.
With Appollis’s move to MC Alger falling through, as reported by The South African, the Chiefs may have a favorable chance of securing him.
Chief’s Approach to Player Transfers
Motaung Jr emphasized the club’s respectful approach to player transfers.
“We rarely discuss players from other teams publicly,” he said.
“Our conversations with Polokwane City involve not just Appollis but other potential signings as well. This process is ongoing.”
He also mentioned understanding the frustrations of coaches when their players are discussed in the media, but assured that Kaizer Chiefs are diligently working behind the scenes to bring top talent to the club.
