The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the first Federal Executive Council meeting for the year 2022.
Physically present at the meeting is the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
Five Ministers including that of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; Minister of state for health, Olorunnimbe Mamora; Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaiya Onu; FCT, Ahmed Musa Bello and Transport, Rotimi Amaechi were also in attendance.
The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, and other Ministers are attending virtually from their various offices in Abuja.
Before the commencement of the council meeting, members held a minute silence for the late Head of Nigeria’s interim government, Ernest Shonekan, and four other cabinet members that died between December 2021 and January 2022.
