Prof. Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi SAN, Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, has directed that no student would be allowed to carry or drive any vehicle on campus beginning Monday, February 14, 2022.
On Tuesday, February 8, 2022, he made this declaration when he inaugurated the Committee on Compliance and Enforcement.
This is required because Management has noticed that our roadways have turned into a race track where students drive at breakneck speeds, causing a nuisance on our campus.
In view of this, Management, therefore resolved to enshrine sanity and orderliness on our campus and most especially save the lives of our dear students from incessant ghastly motor accidents as well as discourage the use of vehicles as a tool of oppression among students.
Students are advised to ensure compliance, as no student vehicle will be allowed on campus under any guise. Please note that there will be sanctions for any erring student in this regard.
Thank you.
