Tunisia extends state of emergency until end of 2022
TUNIS, 18th February, 2022 – President of Tunisia, Kais Saied extended today the state of emergency from February 19 to December 31, 2022 throughout the country by virtue of Presidential Decree No.
2022-73 of February 15, 2022, published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic.
On January 18 this year, it was extended by one month by virtue of Presidential Decree No.
2022-43, according to TAP News Agency.
The state of emergency was declared on November 24, 2015, following the terrorist attack that targeted a presidential security bus, killing 12 people and injuring 16.
It has been renewed without interruption since then.
