The Senate will next week Tuesday vote on the report of the Senate Committee on Constitution Review on amendments to the 1999 Constitution.
Chairman of the Committee, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, who gave the hint at the start of plenary, disclosed that the report of the committee would be laid during plenary, and copies distributed to lawmakers today.
He appealed to Senators to study the report ahead of its consideration and ensure that they are present during plenary next Tuesday, so as to participate in voting on it.
According to the lawmaker, the mandatory two-thirds and four-fifth requirements of the membership of the entire Senate must be met by the chamber and as such, they should all endeavour to attend so as to cast their votes on some provisions of the report by the constitution Review Committee.
