Mohammed Al Bowardi meets defence officials from Angola, Cyprus, Australia at UMEX, SimTEX 2022

ABU DHABI, 23rd February, 2022 – Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, separately received João Ernesto dos Santos, Minister of National Defence and Homeland Veterans of Angola, Charalambos Petrides, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, and General Angus Campbell, Chief of the Australian Defence Force, on the sidelines of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation and Training (SimTEX) 2022.

The meetings were attended by Mattar Salem Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and several officers and officials from the ministry and guest delegations.

Al Bowardi welcomed the guests during their meetings, which took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

All sides also discussed their friendship and cooperation in various areas, most notably in defence.

The meetings addressed the importance of UMEX and SimTEX 2022 and its role in encouraging cooperation and establishing partnerships between relevant regional companies.

The guests lauded the current edition of the event and its distinguished level of organisation every year, noting that it has become a global platform that brings together specialists.
