Actor Gabriel Olds Arrested in Los Angeles on Multiple Felony Charges of Rape and Sexual Assault

In recent news, actor Gabriel Olds has been arrested on serious charges of rape. The 52-year-old star, known for his role as a young Pat Robertson in *The Eyes of Tammy Faye*, was taken into custody on July 19.

This arrest comes after multiple women accused him of violent sexual assaults that reportedly occurred over a decade, from 2013 to 2023.

Olds faces seven felony counts of sexual assault.

The accusations began to surface after a 41-year-old woman reported to the police on January 19, 2023, alleging that Olds raped her at her Los Angeles home. Following her report, two additional women came forward with similar claims, recounting assaults that date back to 2013.

The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that these alleged assaults involved what initially seemed like consensual dating experiences that turned violently non-consensual.

According to the police, Olds allegedly used his status as a Yale graduate and Hollywood actor to manipulate and exploit these women.

Investigation and Findings

Police have identified three women who were allegedly assaulted by Olds, and two others who experienced less severe incidents. Reports indicate that some of these women met Olds through dating apps, suggesting there could be additional victims.

Detective Brent Hopkins from the LAPD stated, “We heard the same story again and again. Mr. Olds started off charming, but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes.

Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”

Olds’ Acting Career

Gabriel Olds, whose acting career spans several decades, has appeared in various films and TV shows since the late 1980s. His notable roles include appearances in *Party of Five* and *The Mentalist*.
