Sono obtained a National Certificate in Engineering and Related Design from the Ehlanzeni Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) College in kaMaqhekeza, Mpumalanga.

The training he received at the college equipped him with the necessary skills to become a qualified Boiler Maker at Afrimat Mining in Mpumalanga.

Boiler makers specialize in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing heavy-metal structures such as boilers, vessels, tanks, towers, and heat exchangers.

Vuk Talks: Empowering Youth in Artisanship:

Sono had the opportunity to be one of the speakers at the Vuk Talks, a community engagement event organized by Vuk’uzenzele newspaper.
