Speaking after the defeat, coach Arthur Zwane admitted big disappointment but believes the Glamour Boys can still claim that CAF Champions League number two spot.
“Look, we can’t give up now, we just have to carry on working hard. The games come in thick and fast…,” Zwane told SuperSport TV after the game.
“Look, it’s gonna get better. I don’t lose hope. I’m not that much worried. Yes, you can see our chances of getting the second spot are very slim, but it’s not over until the fat lady sings,” the Soweto-born coach added.
Meanwhile, Zwane now has four more games to convince Kaizer Chiefs’ decision-makers he is the man to get the head coach job next season.
Up next is the visit of Marumo Gallants at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday 3 May at 19:30.
