Man admits to beating his grandmother to death and having intercourse with her corpse

A man has confessed to murdering his grandma and having sexual relations with her body.
Donovan Miller, 31, killed Phyllis Grant, 76, at her own house in Plaistow, east London, by attacking her with a vase.
On March 25, 2021, an attack occurred.
After receiving a call, police arrived on the site and declared Grant deceased.

Miller was arrested and charged with murder the next day but has now pleaded guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility, and a third charge of sexual penetration of a corpse.
Prosecutor Caroline Carberry QC said the pleas were acceptable in light of the conclusions of three psychiatrists.
Judge Anthony Leonard QC adjourned sentencing until Monday, March 28.
