Niger State alerts Immigration Service on influx of illegal immigrants

Niger State Government in North Central Nigeria has tasked the Nigerian Immigration Service on the influx of irregular immigrants in the state.

The Secretary to the Niger State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, stated this during a courtesy visit by the new Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Niger State Command, Nongo Samuel Shima in Minna the State Capital on Tuesday.

Ahmed Matane in a statement further urged the Nigerian Immigration Service to check the activities of illegal and criminal immigrants in the State.

He reiterated the commitment of the State Government in collaborating with the Nigeria Immigration Service in addressing the incessant security challenges in some parts of Niger State.

The SSG reassured the new Comptroller of Immigration that the Government would continue to support the Immigration Service in the State.

The new Comptroller of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Niger State Command, Nongo Samuel Shima who visited the Niger state SSG as part of his familiarization tour in the State, reaffirmed the readiness of the Service to partner with the State Government in finding lasting solutions to the security challenges bedeviling the State.
