The agency stated in a statement that the services are available to the general public and may be accessed on its website.
“This is to explain that, contrary to numerous allegations, services related to Smart DL application and renewal are open to the public and accessible through the NTSA website,” the agency said.
Following allegations that the three-year renewal of smart driving permits had been suspended, the authority issued a clarification.
The smart driving licenses fitted with electronic chips that contain key details of a driver were launched in 2017.
