Margarita Lozano, a Spanish actress who worked with renowned European filmmakers such as Pier Paolo Pasolini and Sergio Leone, died Monday at the age of 90, according to local officials.
Lorca, in the southeastern city of Spain, declared three days of mourning for Lozano, referring to her as a “adoptive daughter.”
In a statement, Lorca mayor Diego Jose Mateos remarked, “Margarita Lozano made a deep impression on both the cinema and the theatre, and acted under the directions of the best directors of the time.”
